SSEAT Mission Statement

  • Provide a safe community for stuttering teens to Support one other through social, emotional, and academic impacts of their stuttering and expressive language differences. 
  • Encourage Empathy-driven interactions, fostering compassion for individuals and families struggling with stuttering and expressive language differences.
  • Promote Advocacy for individuals and families who feel they are not being heard and to ensure they are taken seriously and that their rights are respected. 
  • Offer Access to research, articles, and blog posts about relevant information, personal experiences, and services for stuttering and expressive language differences.
  • Provide Philanthropic support to stuttering research and scholarships for stuttering intervention.
  • Soften stigma of physical and learning disabilities in school communities.
